LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Case Study

 

Background

The client is a European leading biotech company that develops, produces and sells products and services for laboratories around the world. The client has set the strategic goal to grow their business worldwide in the next 3 years, in order to achieve that, the client realises the importance and urgency for a globally aligned organisation, a common understanding on the expectation set on their employees as well as individual actions to bring them closer to their vision.

 

RDI Intervention with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®

The client invited RDI to deliver multi-days workshops throughout the Q4 of 2018 and Q1 of 2019, with the purpose of:

  1. Bring alignment to the understanding of the Vision, Values and Competencies in order to achieve their strategic goals worldwide
  2. Raise awareness on individual employee’s current level of competencies and create action plans to for further development

Material: 27 LEGO® exploration bag, + landscape and Identity Kit

Outcome

Employees were provided with the opportunity to generate insights & understanding of the company’s global values and how it impacts their behaviour. Furthermore, in relations to the organisation’s expected competencies, employees used LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to explore the intricate relationships between the competencies and their job, each of them were able to have frank discussions on areas they believed could be further developed, and individually they used LEGO SERIOUS PLAY to gather insight and turned them into action plans.
